Ted Cruz uses three rhetorical analysis when he post on twitter he uses logos, ethos and pathos to give his audience an more understanding on why he's running for president.
The first one he uses is logos "We need a Commander in Chief who will do everything possible to keep our children safe." He is persuading the audience that we need someone in the world that is going to protect us and our children from harms way.
He also uses ethos "We must use the bully pulpit of the presidency to invite others to unite against evil forces who seek to tear down freedom across the world." This is meaning that he wants more people to come aboard so they can face the evil that has been shown to us in a negative way, so they don't destroy anything else in our world.
Last he uses pathos "I was proud to fight shoulder to shoulder with @jeffsessions to defeat the Gang of Eight amnesty bill". This is pathos because it shows him using emotion of having the honor to defect a bill that was hurting a lot of people.
